It's taken me almost a year to complete my project with my GPS Christmas present, but at long last I'm starting to put together the pieces:
- December 2004: receive Garmin eTrex GPS device
- June 2005: go on Big Sur hike with GPS device, taking many, many photos
- August 2005: load GPS data into computer using pygarmin, produce first Keyhole/Google Earth-loadable map
- ??? 200?: link GPS data with photos to produce the one map to rule them all

awesome, i did this hike last sunday to monday and was trying to find the spot on keyhole/earth but it's pretty hard to identify. time for me to get a GPS. thanks for posting it.
